Explore Ras Mohammed by land includes snorkelling in the Red Sea and swimming in the Magic Lake. Ras Mohammed has a unique landscape, is a stopover for migratory birds, and home to some of the world’s most impressive underwater scenery and ecosystems, including thousands of fish and other marine creatures. 

 

Camp overnight in Ras Mohammed includes camping facilities and equipment, dinner and water, and plenty of time to explore, swim and snorkel, or just relax on the beach. 

 

White Island has recently become a favourite due to its expanse of pale sand, a destination for those who want to take beautiful photos. You can even hire a mermaid tail for some fun with your Instagram photos. 

 

Night Snorkelling or diving is a unique way to view the Red Sea reefs and fish, and a great end to your day in Sharm. 

 

Wreck Dives at Dunraven and Thistlegorm. 

 

Zodiac dives (minimum two people) can include early morning dives at the wrecks of the Kormoran and Million Hope and give you the chance to encounter Hammerhead sharks between June and October; hammerhead sharks gather at Jackson Reef in Tiran, and the dive guides know how to interact with the sharks so you can see these beautiful creatures close up.

 

Semi Submarine cruise (90 minutes plus transfer time) to see reefs, coral and fish. The semi submarine, unlike a true submarine, does not go below the water. The hull of the semi-sub has large viewing windows which you are seated next to. It gives you the perspective of being under the water, different to the glass bottom boat.

Museum visit – Sharm el Sheikh has an excellent new museum which can be visited morning or evening. It includes many fascinating and beautiful artefacts from across Egypt’s history, from the time of the pharaohs through the Greco-Roman, Coptic and Islamic eras, to treasures of the 20th century royal family. The museum includes a section on the culture of Sinai Bedouin, the inhabitants of this land before it became from the 1980s a sun and fun destination for international visitors.

 

Saint Catherine and Mount Moses – various day or multi day tours are available from Sharm el Sheikh, including day tours to the Monastery of Saint Catherine, walking up Gebel Musa (Mount Moses), hiking and visiting Bedouin gardens.
